R.I.P. Mickey Rooney

It came as sad news to learn that the great and diverse actor Mickey Rooney this sunday passed away at age 93.
We did not personally know him, however he was a really funny character in my favorite movie: Breakfast at Tiffany´s. His role in that movie, might have been rather small, but it showed that he was a chameleon in the acting business.

Born september 23, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York  he stood on stage a little more than a year later and took to movies at age six. And even though the majority of people age 93 are enjoying their old ways in a retirement home in Boca, Rooney kept making movies until the end. Having to of his movies in pre-production and one filming right now. If that isn´t amazing we don´t know what.
The younger generation might know him for his thieving ways in Night at the Museum, with another great actor Dick Van Dyke.

His work spanned from acting, director, producing to writing and music. He was a versatile actor, with a great spirit, that could make every person around him smile brighter than the best joke.

We loved him, american loved him, the whole world loved him. Rest in Peace Mickey
