Best Summer Bikinis

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, June 12, 2014 0 comments
Bikinis can for the skinny minis or the very confident people (yes I am NOT one of them) be a summer essential. For instance my fellow blogger Nanna owns a million of them. SERIOUSLY! And each year all the various bikinis are lined in a row and we can pick and choose our favorites, if they are not sold out.
I have lined the best and smartest bikinis for the summer, so that you can pick and choose your favorites from our blog. Enjoy <3

Dangerous Summer Insects

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, June 05, 2014 0 comments
The summer is upon us, and although the majority of us get really excited and want to run out and roll around on the grass, there are some dangerous insects out there that we have to be worried about. I am not saying you have to lock yourself in a room and be a hermit, but simply remember to check your body for any scabs that look suspicious.
To make things easier for you, I have created a list with the insects your have to be the most worried about.

The Bee
No surprise that the bee is one of the bug on our list. The bee can actually become very dangerous, when you are allergic to it. Some people don´t know they are allergic, before they have been stung and if you are alone at the time, there is a chance that you can go into chock and die.
The bee comes in many shapes and sizes and exists in many different countries.

Mosquitos
In Africa Mosquitos kill and carry more diseases than any other bug. Some can be harmless, whereas others can be deadly. One can make your skin itch, where the other can make you sweat and puke for days. A mosquito can even carry HIV from one person to the another.

Ticks
Like many of the other insects, the tick exists in many countries. It is very dangerous mainly because they are so small the you can´t see when they are crawling on you, hiding and biting on to your skin, in warm nooks and crannies of your body. If you have a pet, the tick can get "stuck" in the fur of your pet and get carries in to your home. If a tick doesn´t get removed/treated you can end up getting Lyme´s disease.

Other insects that can be dangerous:
Certain Spider species
Certain Ant species
Scorpions
Millipedes & Centipedes

Great Father's Day Ideas!

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, May 29, 2014 0 comments
Father's Day is coming up soon! For us three weird girls it's June 5th, and so we thought we'd share some ideas with you, like we did with our Mother's Day post.

First off, these ideas depend very much on what type of person your father is. So not all of these might fit your dad.

Ideas for presents!

Video games!
If your dad is anything like my dad, video games is a sure thing that'll bring him joy. For my dad it's first-person shooter games that's the way to his heart, but there are many other games you can get your dad! May I recommend any of the Lego franchise games? They're super fun for every age and it's something you can do together.

Books!
You can never go wrong with books, books are awesome, go read one now. Anyway, I am a 100% sure if you just ask your dad a little about what kinda things he likes, you'll be able to find the right book for him. Or maybe just give him a gift card to the book store, and he'll be able to pick one out for himself.

Work tools!
If your dad is a self-proclaimed handyman, he'll sure be overjoyed if you hand him a brand new drill or buzz saw. Or whatever he needs for his work shed.

Ideas for Activities!
Here's some idea's for what you can do on the day with your beloved father. Some of them might be depended on the weather, but hopefully it'll be sunny.
Football! GOOOALL! And all that jazz. If your dad is a big football fan, taking him to a match with his favourite team is a sure fire way to win his approval. Even if you don't like football, he'll surely appreciate you taking time out of your calender to do something he enjoys. It could be a nice bonding experience for the both of you.
Light! Popcorn! People not shutting up during the movie! Let's go to the movies! Take your dad and venture into the dark to go on an adventure. And this is something you'll both enjoy, I'm sure of it!

This one is something for the whole family. Grab some food, a blanket and go out into the beautiful nature and spend some time with your lovely family. And celebrate your father, a man who hopefully is someone worth celebrating.
Oh, and if it's raining, try having an indoor picnic! It's just as fun, trust me.

These are just some ideas that you can do for Father's Day. As I said, it all really depends on who your father is and what he likes to do. Try thinking of things that'll make him happy, and work from there. I'm sure you'll find something!

French Nougat

Ingredients
  • 40grams pistachios, unsalted
  • 150grams almonds
  • 250grams sugar
  • 125grams water
  • 100grams  glucose
  • 125grams honey
  • 75grams egg whites
  • A little icing sugar

Steps:
Cook the almonds very shortly and poor the water away. Peel the almond shells off and roast the freshly peeled almonds and pistachios in an oven at 150 degrees, about 5 minutes. Let the nuts cool down.
Cook sugar, water and glucose in a sauce pan. Poor cold water in a bowl and "wash" down the edges of the sauce pan, with a clean brush. This helps prevent the sugar from crystalizing, which would later ruin the caramel. Wash down the sides about 5 to 6 times. NOT more than that.
Cook the caramel till it reaches 140 degrees, use a cooking thermometer. Add honey and cook it further, until it reaches 148 degrees.
In the meantime whisk the egg whites to a meringue. Then poor the still warm caramel mixture in to the meringue, a little at the time, while still whisking. Whisk the mixture until it is only lukewarm.
Scrape the mixture on to a baking mate and "knead" the nuts in to it. Then immediately put the mixture in a container, approx. 18x18 centimeters, and make sure it is lined with baking paper.
Let the french nougat cool at living room temperature until next day.
When taking it out of the container, sprinkle icing sugar on it and cut it in to nice square pieces with a very sharp knife.
Enjoy <3

LCHF Living

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, May 15, 2014 0 comments

Do you want to eat real food (as much as you like) and improve your health and weight? It may sound too good to be true, but LCHF (Low Carb, High Fat) is a method that has been used for 150 years. Now, modern science backs it up with proof that it works.

There is no weighing your food, no counting, no bizarre “meal replacements,” no pills. There is just real food and common sense. And all the advice here is 100 percent free.

Introduction

A LCHF diet means you eat less carbohydrates and a higher proportion of fat. Most importantly you minimize your intake of sugar and starches. You can eat other delicious foods until you are satisfied – and still lose weight.
A number of recent high-quality scientific studies shows that LCHF makes it easier both to lose weight and to control your blood sugar. And that’s just the beginning.

The basics

  • Eat: Meat, fish, eggs, vegetables growing above ground and natural fats (like butter).
  • Avoid: Sugar and starchy foods (like bread, pasta, rice and potatoes).
Eat when you’re hungry until you are satisfied. It’s that simple. You do not need to count calories or weigh your food. And just forget about industrially produced low fat products.
There are solid scientific reasons why LCHF works. When you avoid sugar and starches your blood sugar stabilizes and the levels of insulin, the fat storing hormone, drops. This increases your fat burning and makes you feel more satiated.

Eat all you like

  • Meat: Any type, including beef, pork, game meat, chicken, etc. Feel free to eat the fat on the meat as well as the skin on the chicken. If possible try to choose organic or grass fed meat.
  • Fish and Shellfish: All kinds: Fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel or herring are great. Avoid breading.
  • Eggs: All kinds: Boiled, fried, omelettes, etc. Preferably choose organic eggs.
  • Natural Fat, High-Fat Sauces: Using butter and cream when you cook can make your food taste better and make you feel more satiated. Try a Béarnaise or Hollandaise sauce, check the ingredients or make it yourself. Coconut oil and olive oil are also good options.
  • Vegetables that Grow Above Ground: All kinds of cabbage, such as cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage and Brussels sprouts. Asparagus, zucchini, eggplant, olives, spinach, mushrooms, cucumber, lettuce, avocado, onions, peppers, tomatoes etc.
  • Dairy products: Always select full-fat options like real butter, cream (40% fat), sour cream, Greek/Turkish yogurt and high-fat cheeses. Be careful with regular milk and skim milk as they contain a lot of milk sugar. Avoid flavored, sugary and low-fat products.
  • Nuts: Good to eat instead of candy in front of the television (preferably in moderation).
  • Berries: Okay in moderation, if you are not a super strict or sensitive. Good with whipped cream.

Avoid if you can

  • Sugar: The worst. Soft drinks, candy, juice, sports drinks, chocolate, cakes, buns, pastries, ice cream, breakfast cereals. Preferably avoid sweeteners as well.
  • Starch: Bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, French fries, potato chips, porridge, muesli and so on. “Wholegrain products” are just less bad. Moderate amounts of root vegetables may be OK (unless you’re eating extremely low carb).
  • Margarine: Industrially imitated butter with unnaturally high content of omega-6 fat. Has no health benefits, tastes bad. Statistically linked to asthma, allergies and other inflammatory diseases.
  • Beer: Liquid bread. Full of rapidly absorbed carbs, unfortunately.
  • Fruit: Very sweet, lots of sugar. Eat once in a while. Treat fruit as a natural form of candy.

Once in a while

You decide when the time is right. Your weight loss may slow down a bit.
  • Alcohol: Dry wine (regular red or dry white wine), whisky, brandy, vodka and cocktails without sugar.
  • Dark chocolate: Above 70 % cocoa, preferably just a bit.

Drink most days

  • Water
  • Coffee: Try it with full-fat cream
  • Tea

A Perfect Mother´s day

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, May 08, 2014 0 comments
You might be a mother or a daughter, but no matter what mother´s day is coming closer and the perfect present has to be bought, if it hasn´t already.
I like to think that I am quite good at finding gifts that people like, and my mom usually loves the gifts I buy her.

Yesterday I bought the present for my mom and I bought the "Clinique Take the day Off cleansing balm", because my mother is obsessed with products from Clinique. And as a little extra, I bought special edition LOVE chocolates from Bülow, because face it, which woman does not like chocolate.

But maybe your mother is different, she might not like beauty products, she might be on a diet or something completely different. So I have decided to divide mothers in to three categories and give examples on the perfect gifts for each category of mothers.

The Handy Woman

The Handy Woman, can either be a gardner, DIY freak, Ikea master etc. Basically it´s a woman, who is not afraid of doing the things herself. This is also the woman that LOVES DIY present, so here you have to get down and dirty yourself, in order to create the perfect present.

The Beauty Woman

The Beauty Woman loves everything beauty related, so here the best tip is to hit the nearest Sephora or drugstore and buy shit loads of stuff and put it in a nice little bag.
E.L.F. Studio Complete Coverage Concealer, $3, drugstore.com
Olay Age-Defying Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream, $14.99, walgreens.com
Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Take It All Off Makeup Remover Wipes, $7, victoriassecret.com
Elizabeth Arden Eight-Hour Sun Defense Stick SPF, $20,beauty.com

The Healthy Woman

The healthy woman, is the mom that loves to exercise and eat organic. Visit the nearest health stores, give a gym membership or go to a sports store. If in doubt, don´t be afraid to ask the employees about what a mother might want in her closet or kitchen cupboards.
Cateye Fit, $80, amazon.com
Dormtiques Custom Yoga Mat, $40, mycustomyogamat.com
Quirky Mocubo Cutting Board, $40, quirky.com

Sugoi Versa Jacket, $120, sugoi.com

Funniest SNL sketches

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, May 01, 2014 0 comments
I think I speak for all of us, when I way: WE LOVE SNL! For those of you who do not know what SNL stands for it´s Saturday Night Live. SNL has managed to entertain millions of us since 1975, or in our cases just since 1991...or, well we did not speak english in 1991, so let´s say since 2004...yeah that sounds good.
Netflix has given us the nice pleasure of being able to watch all of the episodes again, and again, and again. Since fall 2013 they change it, so instead of having episodes from 2000-2010, they now have 2010-2013.
Over the years many and many of the good stars have been exchanged and lately some of the best ones have also said goodbye and that they are not joining the newest season. With that in mind, we thought we would look back, re-watch ALL of the episodes and list our favorite SNL sketches.

My Favs

In my mind the best sketches are the ones where the cast members themselves can´t help but laugh. Most of those sketches happen to be with Kirsten Wiig. Wonder why! Not to mention all the Lonely Island inputs, that have managed to create their very own name.

Feeling Peckish?

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, April 24, 2014 0 comments
Lately I have been on a "diet", I hate to call them diets, because basically it´s called: a new way of life, but diet sums it up quite nicely... Carryon...well I  have been on a diet, where I want to lose 10 pounds in two months. Sounds easy, right? But I am THE WORST, when it comes to dieting. On a day to day basis I live healthy, but I just can´t seem to get rid of the last pounds, mainly because I ALWAYS feel peckish, when I have been dieting for a couple of days. I´m now on day three and the cravings or hitting me HARD! So I decided to search the internet for some nice healthy snacks, or should I say healthier snacks.
And here´s what I found...and notice that they all contain chocolate, because I LOVE CHOCOLATE!

Chocolate Chia Pudding

ingredients (3 portions)

4 tbsp Chia seeds
peel and juice from 1 orange
1 tsp of vanilla powder
9 tsp of raw cocoa powder (Raw is milder, so if you are using regular I would taste it as you pour it in)
6 tsp agavesirup
3 dl extra creamy coconutmilk
Crush the chia seeds and pour all the other ingredients together. Mix everything well and put in the fridge for a couple of hours or over night. I personally think it taste better if you make it in the morning and eat it at night. :D Cut some pieces of fruit and sprinkle on top. I personally like strawberry, mango & banana.

"Healthy" Nutella

ingredients (1 portion)
250g of sun dried dates
100g of hazelnuts
3 big tbsp of raw cocoa powder
3 tbsp of coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla powder

Pour hot water on top of the dates and let them hydrate for about 1/2 hour. While they suck in the hot water, toast the hazelnuts and when done, let them cool. Cut the dates in small pieces and put them in a bowl with the cocoa powder, vanilla and coconut oil, and blend the mixture until smooth. Try to massage the shell of the hazelnuts and blend them until it looks like flour. Mix the hazelnut flour with the cocoa mixture and if it is a little too dry, pour a little water in.

Comfy Chocolate pieces

ingredients (1 tray portion)
100g of cocoa butter
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp of lacuma powder (not necessary)
1 1/2 dl raw cocoa powder
3-4 tbsp of agavesirup
1 big tbsp of hazelnut butter
a little vanilla powder

Melt the cocoa butter together with the coconut oil on low heat. Stir in the lacuma powder and the agave sirup. Then ad the raw cocoa, vanilla and hazelnut butter and stir a little more. Then pour it in a tray and place in the freezer for a couple of hours. When you take the tray out, cut the chocolate mixture into bite size pieces. Keep the pieces in the freezer, otherwise they will melt and you can easily eat them directly from the freezer.

"HUGE" MAC haul

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, April 17, 2014 0 comments
Okay maybe not that huge, but for me it´s huge.
I have been on a long journey for the perfect foundation for my skin. Not only should it look as though I´m not wearing foundation after I have applied it on my skin, but I also want to avoid breakouts after removing the foundation.

And I have tried EVERY drugstore product out there; We´re talking Rimmel, Maybelline, MaxFactor and every single time their foundations have disappointed me. I´m not one for buying expensive makeup...DRUGSTORE RULES...but when I learned that the danish mall called Salling had 25% on all MAC products I simply had to buy some. And so I did.

First I was shocked about the small amount of money I actually ended up paying, but the service I got was all worth giving a little more money. Did I find the perfect foundation? Yes! I have now owned my MAC products for two days now and I can´t stop using the product called Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. Not only does it make my skin look flawless, but it feels light and you have to get REALLY close to notice that I am wearing it. I LOVE IT! It´s easy to apply and I have not had any new breakouts since I have used it. NOTE! I tend to breakout REALLY quickly after applying foundation, which is why I only use foundation at special events. But that´s going to change now. Now I´m going to have flawless skin everyday and I love it.

If you want to see all the MAC products I bought and my opinion about them, just click play on the video below.

What´s up with that ASS!

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, March 27, 2014 0 comments
Currently I´m doing my internship at an event venue and me and my fellow intern started talking about Kim Kardashian´s ass. To be more precise: What up with that ass!
Kim´s bum has been discussed many times in the media: Is it fake? Is it real? Is the Kardashian family aliens? Okay the last one is just something we´re saying, not really the press.
To get closer to that ass, we thought we would sum it down to pictures of Kim´s Ass-story (ass + history = ass-story, for all you dummies out there)

Pre-Reality Ass
Flat and covered up by oversized sweaters. Let us just quickly point out Khloe, who now is the hottest of all of them. Great transformation Khloe!

Reality Ass
By reality ass, we mean the ass she had when the whole "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" started. Still a little flat, but not covered by oversized sweaters, but squeezed into some tight jeans.

Football Ass
Also known as the flaunting of the ass period. This is when Kim realized that her ass could make some money, which meant that every pose was ass-fixated.
Lets get some ass up in the air
Beach Ass
There era between Reggie and Kris, is called the beach era, because it looked like every photo of Kim was beach related.

Basket Ass
Then came Kris and DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA! This era is also known as Sophisticated Ass

Crying Ass
Well she does cry a lot!

Baby Ass
Then can Baby North West, and suddenly her ass was out of focus and everything else was in focus.
But that ass still rocked a bikini

KimYe Ass
Then came the ring and the name KimYe and everything was back to normal and ass-tastic!
