Okay maybe not that huge, but for me it´s huge.
I have been on a long journey for the perfect foundation for my skin. Not only should it look as though I´m not wearing foundation after I have applied it on my skin, but I also want to avoid breakouts after removing the foundation.
And I have tried EVERY drugstore product out there; We´re talking Rimmel, Maybelline, MaxFactor and every single time their foundations have disappointed me. I´m not one for buying expensive makeup...DRUGSTORE RULES...but when I learned that the danish mall called Salling had 25% on all MAC products I simply had to buy some. And so I did.
First I was shocked about the small amount of money I actually ended up paying, but the service I got was all worth giving a little more money. Did I find the perfect foundation? Yes! I have now owned my MAC products for two days now and I can´t stop using the product called Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. Not only does it make my skin look flawless, but it feels light and you have to get REALLY close to notice that I am wearing it. I LOVE IT! It´s easy to apply and I have not had any new breakouts since I have used it. NOTE! I tend to breakout REALLY quickly after applying foundation, which is why I only use foundation at special events. But that´s going to change now. Now I´m going to have flawless skin everyday and I love it.

Easy, Breezy, Beautiful...
Today we have decided to show you how to do an easy everyday natural look, with few things. This look is perfect for a person with dark and light hair, but also for the person who might not be so confident at applying makeup.
It´s so simple that it only takes 4 steps and 4 makeup products:
1. Apply "Wake me up" concealer from Rimmel all over the lid and also under the eye
2. Take a stiff brush and apply Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo Bad to the Bronze all over the lid.
3. Take a dark brown eyeshadow and blend it from the crease and into the middle of the eye.
4. Lastly apply two layers of mascara - ours if from Clinique.

TIME FOR SOME LIPPY COLOUR FUN!

But the topic of today's Fashion Friday, is lip colour! Since recently I've become slightly obsessed with colour on my lips. I don't know what happened really, because normally the only make up I care about is nail polish (that is make up, right?).
So I thought I would write a little review of the lip colours I've gotten my grappy little hands on lately.
First up is the red "Designer Blossom". Now this colour is a bit tricky, as it looks pretty red, but actually it's not really that red. It's more like a dark pink when it's on the lips. But maybe it depends on the lips, I don't know. I tend to use this as an evening colour, because it is a bit dark and "serious". But don't buy this thinking it's a great dark red colour like the classic red lipsticks. Because it's not.
Here you can see it on my lips, and you can see what I meant by it not being red. But I guess you can just give it another layer, until you're satisfied with the intensity. That's the great thing about these lip colour balms is that they don't feel heavy on you lips, no matter how thick a layer you put on.
Next up is the "Couture Blush", also from Max Factor. This one is pretty much the colour it shows. A light pink.
This one is very similar to my own "natural" lip colour, but just enhances it a bit and gives it a bit of a shine. Which is why I use it for daytime and daily life.
I am very much happy with my Max Factor Elixir sticks, but the one downside is that they have to be sharpened manually, which means a lot of colour goes to waste when you sharpen it. So I think these will be used up much faster than the others.
The price I got them at was around 11£ (99kr), which is a bit pricey I might add, but worth it.
Next on the list is the Rimmel London one.
This one is my newest purchase, and it was like 20% off or something. I wanted to try another brand of these lip colour balms and this one looked fine.
The colour looks a bit like the "Couture Blush" from Max Factor, but feels different on the lips, and doesn't have the shine. It "dries" pretty quickly, which means it doesn't feel sticky on your lips. But I feel it does not last as long as the others and you need to reapply often. But it is easy to apply and feels soft and smooth on lips, so it's a minor thing. And one great thing about this one is that it doesn't need to be sharpened, but you just turn the bottom, and more colour comes out. So nothing goes to waste.
The price is normally at around 7£ (69kr), so it's the cheapest one I own.
This is a red/light pink colour, that like "Designer Blossom" ain't as red on the lips as the container makes you think.
The thing that sets it apart from the Max Factor one, is the feel when you apply it. It goes smoothly over your lips and makes them
feel soft and nice. They give a great moisture, more so than the others, and I like that part. I feel like this colour last quite long, at least longer than the Rimmel London. It doesn't dry out as fast either.
What I like about this product too is the container, which is a clean simple look, that doesn't make you feel like you're painting your lips with a crayon. And like the Rimmel London one, it also has the twist function, so none of the colour goes to waste. Which at the price it's selling at, is a blessing.
And that's that for my lips and their new found colour! I don't really know which one I prefer, but I do think I'll end up buying more from Rimmel London, since it is the cheapest and is a nice product. And I do really like it. And I guess if someone handed me another Chubby Stick, I wouldn't turn it down.
But really, with these types of products you really need to test them out for yourself. Maybe the feel of the product is different on other peoples lips, I don't know. So go out there and try a little colour for your lips!

The Natural Beauty
When you don´t know what makeup look to wear, opting for the natural makeup look is always a sure win. Even though it´s not a dramatic look, it is a look that suits every face shape and color.
The products that are used for this look, are products that should be in every girls (and of course also some guys´s *wink wink*) makeup collection.
Step 1: Always make sure that all your old makeup is removed, before applying new makeup on your face. Trust me, even though you might have scrubbed your face the night before, there will always be small amounts of makeup on your face the next morning. Therefore, cleanse your face with some Bioderma makeup remover. Bioderma is a sensitive makeup remover, that every makeup artist swears to.
Step 2: Then apply some concealer on the necessary spots on your face, e.g. under your eyes, in your t-zone and around your mouth. If necessary this step is good to repeat after applying foundation.
Step 3: Then apply your foundation. If you want to apply it with a brush or with your hands, it´s really up to you. Just remember, that if you apply it with your hands, clean your hands with water and sanitizer. Otherwise you might wake up with unwanted spots on your face the next morning...aaand we gurlz don´t like our spots...If you want to add more color to your face, adding a splash of bronzer a millimeter under your cheekbones is the way to go.
Step 4: Since you applied concealer around your eyelids, using a eyeshadow primer is not necessary. I always use the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay for my natural look, but you might have a different palette. Start with a light natural color (Foxy) all over the eyelids. Then apply a darker brown color (Snakebite) on the outer corner of the eyelid and softly blend it in and up of lid. In the end add a light, pinkish, shimmer color (Bootycall) on the inner corner of the eyelid.
Step 5: Then apply eyeliner, either brown or black, depending on how natural you want to look. Brown eyeliner makes it look more natural. In my example I went for a thin line of eyeliner, however I daily make a thick line, because I like the 50´s natural look. And add mascara, again you can choose between black or brown. I always apply one coat of mascara, wait for a few seconds and then apply a second layer. It gives fuller lashes, instead of having to wear fake ones.
Step 6 (not necessary): If you want you can apply some nude lipstick, I really like the lipsticks by Kate Moss for Rimmel. Aaaaand you can finish the look by adding some brow gel on your eyebrows, however not everyone does that, but I thinks it gives a nice touch to the look.
