Emma Stone: Top 10 Red Carpet Looks

Posted by Unknown at Friday, May 16, 2014 0 comments
Here at Three Weird Girls have been infatuated with Emma Stone and her charming personality. But we're also big big fans of her fabulous fashion style. So I've compiled a Top 10 of my favourite Red Carpet looks! Take a look!

Number One; Easy A - Los Angeles Premiere 2010
I remember clearly seeing Emma in this dress for the first time, and I was completely transfixed and smitten by it. I think on anybody else it would have looked like a kid got into their grandmothers clothes and tried on the first sparkly thing.

But on Emma, it looks amazing, and simple and classy and I just really really like it.

And yeah, the back is pretty top as well!
Number Two; The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - New York Premiere 2014

See this is a classy dress! The colour, the cut and the sparkly straps that also works as a belt and decoration around the hem, and I don't know the scientific terms but damn it looks good. Also it looks so soft and flowy, that I just want to touch it?
That's not weird, right? Right?
Number Three; The Amazing Spider-Man 2:
London Premiere 2014

See, this colour right? It would look absolute horrific on me, but again on Emma it works. Her porcelain skin and red hair just make it look so good. And again, it's so simple and soft looking. The young Miss Stone really knows how to wear a classy dress. And I love it.
Number Four; Costume Institute Gala - 2014

I don't know what is about this dress that I like the most? The colour match, the fact that it's a two piece, but still manages to look super classy (let's see how many times I can use that word), or if it's the way it just fits perfectly on her body? It's like it's softly hugging her and keeping her safe from harm.
Whatever it is, I just want more of it.
Number Five; Macy's Come Together Campaign Launch - 2009

Such a cute dress, with an interesting pattern. Like really interesting, I can't seem to take my eyes off it. Is it flowers? Leaves? The earth? What is that pattern? Will we ever find out? Who knows?
BUT I LOVE IT!
Number Six; Vanity Fair Oscar Party - 2011

There's just something about this dress that makes me so happy.
Number Seven; Vanity Fair Oscar Party - 2010
Number Eight; Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards - 2012

Number Nine: 63rd Belinale International Film Festival - 2013

So simple, so pretty and that yellow-ish colour again.
Number Ten: The House Bunny Premiere - New York City 2008

This dress has such an amazing pattern, that looks like a colourful universe.

And that's it! And I might just add that the order of these choices are base on my current mood, so if you ask me about this list in like a week, it might be different. Also I had to leave out a lot of other great outfits to keep the list at ten picks. But we might do another list of Emma outfits at a later time, so it's all a-okay.

LCHF Living

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, May 15, 2014 0 comments

Do you want to eat real food (as much as you like) and improve your health and weight? It may sound too good to be true, but LCHF (Low Carb, High Fat) is a method that has been used for 150 years. Now, modern science backs it up with proof that it works.

There is no weighing your food, no counting, no bizarre “meal replacements,” no pills. There is just real food and common sense. And all the advice here is 100 percent free.

Introduction

A LCHF diet means you eat less carbohydrates and a higher proportion of fat. Most importantly you minimize your intake of sugar and starches. You can eat other delicious foods until you are satisfied – and still lose weight.
A number of recent high-quality scientific studies shows that LCHF makes it easier both to lose weight and to control your blood sugar. And that’s just the beginning.

The basics

  • Eat: Meat, fish, eggs, vegetables growing above ground and natural fats (like butter).
  • Avoid: Sugar and starchy foods (like bread, pasta, rice and potatoes).
Eat when you’re hungry until you are satisfied. It’s that simple. You do not need to count calories or weigh your food. And just forget about industrially produced low fat products.
There are solid scientific reasons why LCHF works. When you avoid sugar and starches your blood sugar stabilizes and the levels of insulin, the fat storing hormone, drops. This increases your fat burning and makes you feel more satiated.

Eat all you like

  • Meat: Any type, including beef, pork, game meat, chicken, etc. Feel free to eat the fat on the meat as well as the skin on the chicken. If possible try to choose organic or grass fed meat.
  • Fish and Shellfish: All kinds: Fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel or herring are great. Avoid breading.
  • Eggs: All kinds: Boiled, fried, omelettes, etc. Preferably choose organic eggs.
  • Natural Fat, High-Fat Sauces: Using butter and cream when you cook can make your food taste better and make you feel more satiated. Try a Béarnaise or Hollandaise sauce, check the ingredients or make it yourself. Coconut oil and olive oil are also good options.
  • Vegetables that Grow Above Ground: All kinds of cabbage, such as cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage and Brussels sprouts. Asparagus, zucchini, eggplant, olives, spinach, mushrooms, cucumber, lettuce, avocado, onions, peppers, tomatoes etc.
  • Dairy products: Always select full-fat options like real butter, cream (40% fat), sour cream, Greek/Turkish yogurt and high-fat cheeses. Be careful with regular milk and skim milk as they contain a lot of milk sugar. Avoid flavored, sugary and low-fat products.
  • Nuts: Good to eat instead of candy in front of the television (preferably in moderation).
  • Berries: Okay in moderation, if you are not a super strict or sensitive. Good with whipped cream.

Avoid if you can

  • Sugar: The worst. Soft drinks, candy, juice, sports drinks, chocolate, cakes, buns, pastries, ice cream, breakfast cereals. Preferably avoid sweeteners as well.
  • Starch: Bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, French fries, potato chips, porridge, muesli and so on. “Wholegrain products” are just less bad. Moderate amounts of root vegetables may be OK (unless you’re eating extremely low carb).
  • Margarine: Industrially imitated butter with unnaturally high content of omega-6 fat. Has no health benefits, tastes bad. Statistically linked to asthma, allergies and other inflammatory diseases.
  • Beer: Liquid bread. Full of rapidly absorbed carbs, unfortunately.
  • Fruit: Very sweet, lots of sugar. Eat once in a while. Treat fruit as a natural form of candy.

Once in a while

You decide when the time is right. Your weight loss may slow down a bit.
  • Alcohol: Dry wine (regular red or dry white wine), whisky, brandy, vodka and cocktails without sugar.
  • Dark chocolate: Above 70 % cocoa, preferably just a bit.

Drink most days

  • Water
  • Coffee: Try it with full-fat cream
  • Tea

Bikini Season Ahead!

Posted by Nanna at Wednesday, May 14, 2014 0 comments
Aloha guys!
Yes, the headline says it all - it is time to worry, once again, about the season dreaded by most women. Bikini season is over us! Personally, I love bikini season, but that's because I love bikinis! But I know many of you guys out there have a real hard time feeling comfortable, yet alone, showing yourself in a bikini. This state of mind concerning your body is a thing I would also like to challenge a bit every Wednesday. I know, showing pictures of amazing, fit-looking girls doesn't help very much, that's only because it's a huge motivation for myself! Therefore I felt like today's post should concern some body positivity and not just be all skinny girls - who's with me? Yay or nay?
Anyway, my intention was to show you guys a lot of women in bikinis which I found on my beloved Tumblr, but today was just not the time for all these super skinny selfies of fit girls. So I thought I would turn to the stars of the world once again. I'm very addicted to keeping up with celebrities and their vacations are no exception. This sounds a bit creepy. It's not, I swear! Sometimes it's just a lot more fun looking a paparazzi pictures of them, than the air brushed commercials you see in the magazines. Sometimes it doesn't even look like them with the amount of photoshop there has been used! It's just nice seeing the reality of the situation from time to time.
Anyway, I found my top 10 celebrity bikini bodies in all shape and sizes - everybody looking smashing!

#10 - Alice Eve

Rocking a bikini with the perfect curves is Alice Eve on number 10!

#9 - Whitney Port

Known for her long, long legs in The Hills, Whitney is use to showing off in a bikini!

#8 - Hayden Panettiere

Talking about fitness motivation! Hayden Panettiere knows her way around a gym, no doubt about it!

#7 - Kourtney Kardashian

Giving birth twice and still looking like she does is a mystery! I would sure like to look like Kourtney any day!

#6 - Stephanie Pratt

Staying inside The Hills, Stephanie Pratt is someone who loves showing off her bikini body!

#5 - Molly Sims

Molly Sims is your classic beauty and of course her fabulous beach body is going on the list!

#4 - Demi Lovato

This amazing singer/actor has been through a lot during her stardom and fought hard against mean comments on her weight and body! Why, I have no idea? All I know is that Demi Lovato can be nothing but pleased with her body!

#3 - Kelly Brook

When speaking of a true bombshell one might mention Kelly Brook. She has it all! Her curves are to die for! That's why this curvylicious lady is coming in on out top 3!

#2 - Jennifer Lawrence

I'm a huge fan of Jennifer, but like Demi Lovato, people seem to talk bad about her body.. This is beyond my understanding since Jennifer Lawrence has the best body ever! Luckily she doesn't seem like a person taking those thing too serious - and haleluja for that!

#1 - Kim Kardashian

I know, I know! She's number one pretty much anywhere you look, but I just LOVE her body and I can't get over her figure and curves! I think (even if she had a lot of things done cosmetic) that she is a very healthy role model for young girls. Her body looks healthy and that is what matters. I think. Well, no matter what she is number one with her big booty!

#WhatJayZsaidtoSolange

Unless you've been hiding in a cave with no wifi for a week, you may or may not have heard about the now infamous fight between Jay Z and Solange Knowls, but if you haven't, here's a small recap to get you up to speed:
Jay-Z and Solange Knowles "Elevator Fight" was a physical altercation that took place between the celebrity rapper and his sister-in-law in an elevator after attending a Met Gala after-party at the Standard Hotel in New York City in May 2014. The scuffle was recorded on a surveillance camera in the elevator and subsequently released via TMZ, leading to much speculation about the state of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s marriage, as well as the state of their relationship with Solange.

But to no surprise for anyone who's ever had access to the internet, this little spat between Jay-Z and Solange, soon became a running joke and internet gag. The people quickly took to twitter to try and figure out what excatly made Solange lash out at her brother-in-law. Twitter user @WinkWestwood was quick to come up with the hashtag #WhatJayzSaidToSolange, that became a trending topic in the USA in under an hour. Here's some examples of the best use of the hashtag.

And my personal favourite;

What do you think Jay-Z said to Solange, to get her so worked up?

Pacific Rim

Posted by Unknown at Monday, May 12, 2014 0 comments
So I went shopping (despite having no money to spend) and saw Pacific Rim on sale for like 5,45£, so I caved and got it. And then I watched it with my parents. Because who doesn't love giant robots fighting giant monsters?

But yeah, Pacific Rim is basically about a war between humankind and monstrous sea creatures, and a former pilot and a trainee are paired up to drive a seemingly obsolete special weapon in a desperate effort to save the world from the apocalypse.

For all intents and purposes this was a great movie, a real popcorn flick (sadly I didn't have popcorn to chomp on while watching it). It had a great score by Ramin Djawadi, and beautiful cinematography. And I felt the pacing was fine, even though my dad thought it was a bit slow in the beginning, and yeah I can see what he means. Because the movie is one of those movies that has a slow build with a kinda long introduction of the characters and universe. Which I'm fine with, but my dear father have been tainted by his constant use of first-person shooter video games, and basically just want to watch stuff blow up and people dying.

But I really don't have much to talk about with this movie, because I think it has a real particular audience? Like, it's sci-fi, monster movie and an action movie. So if you do like things getting smashed up (but with reason and a plot), then give it a try? I liked it, but then again I have a thing for giant reptiles... which you'll find out next week when I get to write about the new Godzilla movie.
