Fine Fashion

Posted by Unknown at Friday, April 04, 2014 0 comments
No, this post is not going to be about fashion styles that look "fine", it´s about a person, who through our youth had the craziest and most fashion forward style, we could ever imagine: that person is FRAN FINE aka the Nanny.

Not long ago Netflix decided to ad all the seasons of The Nanny, which means we Three Weird Girls have been glued to our television. Through our marathon endeavor, we were reminded of the amazing style of Fran Fine, that only Fran Fine could wear. So we have decided to list our favorite outfits from the Nanny, for your pleasure.

Sindy´s Favorites
If this outfit isn´t perfect for the summer, I don´t know what. Anybody who is following various fashion blogs, knows that showing of the midriff is the way to go this season. We see Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian wearing it and a punch of fashion bloggers rocking this look. Plus, you never go wrong with funky print.

Various outfits with print on, is something that had shined on Fran Fines body throughout all of the Nanna episodes and a look that she rocked a lot, is the blazer with the high skirt. It is so clever, because that kind of look is very high end and business lady like, but with the edgy print, she manages to funky up all of the outfits and looks like a lady from the Queens. She has a print for every occasion.

These are my all time favorite outfits. The high waisted skirt, with high end graphic print, a bright red, short jacket, with a simple white blouse underneath.
And the simple black top part, with elements of shear and the piano skirt - AHH-MAHH-ZING!
Not to mention the classic black outfit with leopard detail that we all came to love.

Annemette's Favorites

I find that when Fran's style is most silly and odd, I like it all the more. Because what else says confidence that wearing a pink suit with newspaper print on it? And I think Miss Fine is one of the few people, if not the only one, who could pull this look off?

But I also love when it's a bit more toned down, and this ensemble is fun but at the same time simple. I don't know, I just really like it.

Despite all the crazy fun outfits, our Franny have been known to sport some classy beautiful dresses, and this one is one of them. It even has a matching jacket! Fun!

Nanna's Favourite

What I love most about Fran Fine is, most of all, her confidence! I admire her character and of course her body too! She could wear ANYTHING - and clearly she does! But it can never get to crazy as long as you keep your head high and your heels higher!

The little black dress should be in any closet! Including Fran's! Will you just look at that body?!

I am a really big fan of sequins and so are Fran! Here she's rocking a fab, red dress!

The Infamous LiLo List

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, April 03, 2014 0 comments
If you haven´t heard it yet, it´s about time; Just a couple of weeks ago Lindsay Lohan decided to write and share a list with the public. Now you might think, "but what´s wrong with sharing a harmless list", Well the list is not so harmless. To be more precise, the list she decided to write AND numerate, is a list of all her previous lovers, and because of this list over half over the leading men in Hollywood have started sweating.

Now because we do not have the right´s to this list, InTouch owns it, we can not show you a picture of it, but we can mention every person on the list, the way Lindsay Lohan wrote them down:

1: Ashton Kutcher (apparently when he was still together with Demi Moore..ups..)
2: Blurred out
3: Ryan Philippe (Hopefully before or after Reese W)
4: Stavros Niarchos (Paris Hilton´s ex fiancee)
5: P. C. Valmorbida (Don´t know who he is, but we do now)
6: J. Phoenix (If true, lost a little respect for him)
7: Blurred Out
8: Lukas Haas (The little boy from Witness)
9: Nico Tortorella
10: Evan Peters (Now engaged to Emma Roberts)
11: Danny Cipriani (Cutie Rugby player)
12: Maggio Cipriani (no apparent relation to Danny - what´s the odds)
13: B. Del Torro (great actor)
14: Aaron Voros (ex Ranger)
15: Wilmer Valderrama (No surprise there)
16: Blurred Out
17: Jamie Burke
18: Jamie Dornan
19: Zac Efron (No wonder he needed rehab)
20: Orlando Bloom (SAY WHAT!)
21: Justin Timberlake (Hoping it was in the N´sync days, because then he´s forgiven)
22: Brian@GPH (Brian at Grammercy Park Hotel)
23: Josh Mond
24: Colin Farrell (not cutie Farrell :(
25: Heath Ledger (we are ignoring this name, because NO ONE speaks ill of the hot dead guy)
26: Ryan Rottman
27: Max George
28: Guy Berryman
29: James Franco (again, not really a surprise)
30: Adam Levine (BUT he only dates Victorias Secret models)
31: Garret Hedlund
32: Riley 8 (Riley Giles)
33: Blurred Out
34: Petey (Muse) Wright
35: Blurred Out
36: Blurred Out

Judging from the list, you might say that Hollywood is just one big, dysfunctional family.
After seeing the list, we only have to add; We hope they used protection!
Other people might add: Where´s Samantha Ronson?

The favourites I hate

I know my headline is a bit contradicting, but it is how I feel about the few exercises I'm gonna show you. These little, stupid (yet SUPER effective) exercises are killing me during a class, but they do good! I found them on Tumblr - enjoy!

HIGH KNEES
The higher the better! And you'll be gasping for air honey! If you have the opportunity to get someone to help you, it's going to be even harder! Make your friend/boyfriend/mother//sister/etc hold their hands (basically like she does in the picture) as high as you can get your knees - and make them motivate you to hit their hands everytime your leg rises.

JUMP SQUATS
These babies will do wonders with you thighs and butt, but remember to get your technique straight! Squats are effective, yes, but when doing them wrong your knees will be the one hurting. Remember to always have your knees behind your toes when doing a squat and when you're doing jump squats like here, remember to immediately after the jump bounce directly to a squat - this way your knees aren't stopping the jump. It's not jump, stop, squat. It's jump, squat! Does it make any sense?

STOMACH TONER
This is the best exercise for your stomach! It's gonna bite, but it'll be worth it! If you feel it in your back, you need to tighten and suck in that stomach as hard as you possibly can! This way it's going to be your stomach doing the exercise and not your back.

Smoke Weed Everyday...

So it´s no surprise that Miley Cyrus has done a lot of shocking things lately, and honestly it´s now surprise that she smokes smack constantly. Alone her stage walk where she decided to light up a dooby on stage in Amsterdam, was mentioned everywhere. However apparently she does not just light up for the public, but also enjoys lighting up A LOT in private.
According to Wiz Khalifa she "´s blowing like a train", so we three weird girls were wondering, is she starting to have an addiction.

It started out with some innocent sage bong smoking, but it seems to be spiraling out of control for Miley and we would even start to claim that she is smoking more then Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dog - so that´s A LOT!

But what´s your opinion about Miley´s evolution from disney start, to bong smoker, to smoker and now to weed smoker?

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

TIME FOR JUSTICE AND EAGLES!

That's right, it's time to review Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier! Which is a movie I've been waiting impatiently for since the first movie about Steve Rogers. And especially since I saw The Avengers. So I was practically buzzing with anticipation when my mum and me sat down in the movie theatre last Thursday night.
Warning: Spoilers ahead.
The story of Captain America 2 takes place two years after the events of The Avengers and Steve Rogers now lives in Washington, D.C. and continues to work for S.H.I.E.L.D., but struggles to adapt to contemporary society. Some terrible events transpires and a special S.H.I.E.L.D agent is killed. Now Captain America alongside his new friend, war veteran Sam Wilson (aka the Falcon) and his fellow agent Natasha Romanoff have to work together to figure out who is out to get them and battle a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier.

One of the things I love most about this movie is that it doesn't step around the whole "Man Out Of Time" thing, because a huge part of what makes Steve Rogers Steve Rogers, is that fact. He is not like other men around these times, but he is not like other men back from his own time. He is everything good about mankind, he has a natural sense of leadership, and a pure power of will that he uses for good. Which is one of the many reasons Cap is one of my favourite Avengers. Chris Evans, the actor who portrays Rogers, said "He's gone from the '40s to today; he comes from a world where people were a little more trusting, the threats not as deep. Now, it's harder to tell who's right and wrong. Actions you take to protect people from threats could compromise liberties and privacy. That's tough for Steve to swallow."[*]. And he is so right. And that is one of the main themes in this movie. Who to trust. Because in the end, is the only person you can trust yourself? Giving other people your trust is a great risk these days, which is something Rogers learns the hard way. But as I was saying, I loved that they didn't just gloss over his trouble with the modern world. And they didn't skip over his first love Miss Peggy Carter and her current situation. She was an important part of Steve's "old" life, and a link to his past. So even if it was only a 5 minute (heartbreaking) scene, it was very important to show it.

Another great thing about this movie (there is a lot of great things about this movie) is Black Widow and the fact that they actually gave her the screen time she so rightfully deserves. And hopefully this will make the Film Studio realise that a Black Widow solo movie (about her origin) could easily be done and successful. Actress Scarlett Johansson, who plays Romaoff, delivers a emotionally resonant Black Widow this time around, and we get to know the character more. And because she has a bigger role than in her former movies, Johansson gets to show us what an amazing choice she was for this role. She’s far more interesting because we get insight into the “why” when it comes to her choice to switch sides (she used to be a KGB agent) and to live a life full of duplicity, and we see more nuance to the emotional toll this has taken on her while she still ultimately prefers those choices and stands by them. There’s also some particularly cool tension surrounding just how much she can be trusted to keep breaking the rules on behalf of superheroes who presume far too much about her friendship and her loyalties — she seems to want to do the right thing, but she’s made different choices in the past and her conception of “the right thing” these days is more often than not as gray as her boss’ worldview.

Movie Concept Art - Marvel Studios
One of the things I'm not gonna dive into about this movie is the Winter Soldier himself. Because I won't be able to without crying. Because it's too damn painful. It's been pailful since The First Avenger. Also just want to give a shout out to the Revenge Goddess herself, Emily VanCamp, who plays a minor role (that might come back) of Agent 13, who in the comics was an on/off again girlfriend of Steve Rogers.
To wrap up this post, I will say that the movie has a great pace, or at least I thought it did. Sometimes my opinion on movie pacing is so far off from everybody else's. There’s just enough ups and downs on the storyline and action to give it a feel of natural flow on events, which is great.
I will say that this is not really a super hero movie, like the X-men or Batman movies. It’s more of an action thriller movie that happens to have super heroes in it.

Also the events in this movie is making me hella excited for the new episodes of Marvel's Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. Which is also a show you should go watch if you are a Marvel fan.

I'm gonna go now, and leave you with a tv spot, that really makes me want to see the movie again.
