Let's hang out!

Posted by Unknown at Thursday, February 13, 2014 0 comments
On a completely random note and because all three of us weird girls are preparing for a fun filled weekend at Sindy´s place, the blogpost today is, well as mentioned before, random.
So because we have gotten tired of chatting we each other on the facebook messages app, with the annoying "bling" sound, we thought it would be fun to actually see each other face-to-face. Since we all live three different places in Denmark with more then an hour apart - what horror!
Which leads us in to todays post.
Sindy and I discovered the magical world of google+ hangouts. Google+ hangouts is vastly becoming a trending way to talk with each other, mainly because it is more fun then skype and/or facetime - and you can connect it with youtube.
We tried it out for fun, to see how it worked, and then suddenly found the app with the fun accessories.

Even though we did other things in the background, like cleaning and going to the toilet - of course with out the computer - it was nice to have someone to talk to when you are all alone in the apartment. And almost two hours later, we were still not tired of it.

Annemette on the left and Sindy on the right - both looking fairly mental :D

So I guess this post is just here to tell you to try it out with your best friends, and have a great time and remember sometimes it´s nice to talk to people face-to-face, without hiding behind a phone, tablet or computer.

Hello all you lovely people!
I know I was suppose to be trying all these recipes for today, but I've been super busy, so that must be next Wednesday.

Today is all about my fan girl inside! Yesss, it is time to stalk a celebrity and be totally motivated by what they do. It's weird, I know, we've been over this. But it helps me and I hope it helps you!

Okay, so I've been a fan of Jennifer Lawrence for a really long time! I mean, how can you not like her? Her weight is a discussed subject in the media and why, I don't really know? She's curvy, but she has the most amazing body! She looks so healthy and that shines through all the time!
Then today I found the most amazing thing on tumblr! I've been following this Pilates Instructor who's pretty famous in the fitness world and she's also the creater of all the beautiful stuff you'll find on the oGorgeous website. Her name is Cassey Ho and she's been filming all these fitness videos. One of them being.. TADAAH! The Hunger Games Workout! What is happening, this is awesome! So I thought I would share this awesomeness with you guys! Plus I found some pictures of Jennifer Lawrence going to the gym looking absolutely fit an fab making today's theme a Hunger Games theme! We work out so we won't be the first to die. Yay!

Where have they Gone?

Posted by Unknown at Tuesday, February 11, 2014 0 comments
Today we are going to talk about stars that have disappeared from the paparazzi radar. We three weird girls bloggers are all children from the early nineties and during our childhood and teenage years, Teen Vogue, Nickelodeon and tv in general have introduced us to a lot of stars that covered different teen magazine in buffalo shoes and with colorful headbands on. But where are the stars that we loved and looked up to: Where have they gone!?!

Hillary Duff
Okay, so we are going to start out light, so we don´t frighten you. The first one was the lead character in a teenage show everybody loved so much, that they had to end it with a movie. Hillary Duff has not really disappeared out of the limelight, but has decided to focus more on family then acting - yeah she´s a mom! That thought definitely makes one feel old. We have seen s lot of paparazzi picks of her pregnant belly and the time after, but it´s like the paparazzi has stopped following her as well. She is 26 years old and even though she is still acting, the movies she has done lately are not something to shout hurray at - Dora the Explorer? Come on Hillary, you were LIZZIE MCGUIRE!!

Lalaine
Since we are splashing around in the Lizzie McGuire pool, why not take another one. Lalaine...you remember her? We last remember her from her quick visit in Easy A, otherwise What is she doing? In McGuire Lalaine played Lizzie´s friend Miranda Sanchez and like her fellow McGuire actress, she has also continued acting, however she tends to say yes to movies we call "the unknown", the movies no-one is ever going to watch. Maybe in the near future she will say yes to a role that is going to make her famous again and then the new generation is going to go: "Who is that!" and we nineties kids can go: "Miranda Sanchez :-P "

Devon Werkheiser
We are going to stay in the Nickelodeon family and this time it is the guy who gave us advice on how to survive school. He was Ned from Ned´s Declassified and made many youngsters heart jump. He has also decided to keep on acting and has also landed lead roles...in movies no one watched. However according to IMDB in 2014 alone, he is going to star in 5 movies. Wonder if anybody is going to watch them. Btw check out his Youtube profile WerkingItOut

Erik Per Sullivan
Didn´t we all just love Malcolm´s little brother who could not do anything wrong in Malcolm in the Middle? We know we did! Erik Per Sullivan is one of the many young actors, who struggle getting roles his own age and had to play kid for the majority of the roles he got. Currently he has decided to focus on school and is attending University of Southern California and the good news is that he has started to get roles his own ages, even though his last role was in 2010.

Jeremy Jackson
Where many of the older crowd drooled over David Hasselhoff, we nineties kids drooled over his son in Baywatch: Jeremy Jackson. During the Baywatch years he had some run-ins with drugs, which made him look a little cray-cray and he even had to leave the show, because of his struggles with drugs. Since then he has "starred" in various reality shows, most of them drug-rehab related, had a sex-tape come out, UPS, and co-starred with the Chippendales, HUBA HUBA!

Nate Richert
Now we are going to talk about everybody´s favorite witch, or to be more precise the boyfriend of everybody´s favorite teenage witch. Do you know where we are going with this? Sabrina, the teenage witch very own Harvey. Nate Richert decided to quit acting right after Sabrina and chose to become a musician instead. Looking at the previous mentioned actors, that might have been a wise decision. He came out with his first solo album in January 2013 - good for him! - and his look is more rough then when he fell for a witch.

All the kids from Home Improvement
The hottest one of the three kids JTT (Jonathan Taylor Thomas), became rather famous during his years as Tim Allen´s son and also had some minor roles in various tv-series, but most of all he got known for the hissy fits he had everytime someone called him JTT instead of his name - DRAMAQUEEN! He is still acting and has also made an appearance in Tim Allen´s latest tv-series Last Man Standing.

Zachery Ty Bryan, was the oldest son on the show and was also the one that stayed the longest on the show of all the three sons. He has had various guest appearances in Veronica Mars and Boston Public, but after having said yes to many b-roles, he decided to start his own production company Vision Entertainment Group, Inc.

Taran Noah Smith (What is it with the three names!) was the youngest of the sons, and was always the one that got teased in the show. He has definitely tried to come in the magazines, but not for the right reason. After Home Improvement he sued his parents for tampering with his 1.5 million trust fund, at 17 married a woman 16 years older then him - SAY WHAT! - however they are divorced now and in 2012 he got arrested for DUI and drug possession - Damn Boy, where´s your head at!

Hook

Posted by Unknown at Monday, February 10, 2014 0 comments
I'm gonna start a new thing here on Movie Monday. Once a month, I'm gonna write about a movie that means something to me, new or old. And I'm kicking this new thing off with a childhood favourite of mine:

"Hook hook, give us the hook!"

If you're not familiar with this wonderful movie, I'll fill you in. Hook is a movie from 1991 (which is also the year I was born), which stars Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman and Maggie Smith. The story in Hook is that, while Peter Pan (Robin Williams) , now a hard-working adult, is visiting a dear old friend (Maggie Smith) in England, Captain Hook kidnaps his children. And now Peter Pan must return to Neverland and reclaim his youthful spirit in order to challenge his old enemy.

I recently watched his movie again, for the first time in like 10 years or so, and it was just as good as I remembered it. Although a bit longer, but maybe it just felt über long because it was nearing 11:30pm and I still had 40 minutes to go, and I was getting sleepy. But it does have a runtime of 2 hours and 24 minutes.
But it is 2 hours and 24 minutes of wonderful magical family fun! It has everything you could ask for; fairies, mermaids, pirates, sword fights, and even food fights! I have none but good memories about this movie, and it just gives me a warm feeling inside. It reminds me of family and friendship and the importance of growing up and also the importance of maintaining your youthfulness. You should all take the time to watch this movie, because it's really a gem.

I asked my two blog colleges about their feelings about this movie, and Nanna said all she could remember about it was the fat Lost Boy who curled himself into a ball to knock over the enemies. And I think that says a lot about both Nanna and the movie.

Signe said: "When I first saw the disney cartoon Peter Pan, I wanted to visit Neverland so badly. I wanted to fly, never get old, and constantly visit the mermaid part of the island. However I constantly thought: "it´s just a cartoon, so that can never happen", but then I saw Hook and all my childhood memories came back to me, but now with more hope, that flying, going to an island and never growing old could actually happen. Last time I watched the movie, was a year ago and I really love the set decoration of the movie and have often thought, that when I buy a house, the garden has to look exactly like Neverland...or the grotto from the goonies."
I remember wanting to be a Lost Boy so badly, but being sad that there weren't any Lost Girls in Neverland.
But here, watch the trailer and experience the magic.
